Dear Friends~
One of my favorite weeks at CPC is our Earn While You Learn Vacation Bible School. This year was especially unique as we partnered with Chip Walters and Sidewalk Hope. It was definitely a winning combination!
For me, the whole week reminded me of a book I read years ago, “Spiritual Mothering” by Susan Hunt. That week was full of spiritual mothering! Our EWYL Mentors mothering our clients, our interns mothering their children, and our staff mothering our interns. It was beautiful to watch gifts being exercised and developed, and instruction being received. It was the body of Christ on display as the Gospel went out, and encouragement was given. A great thank you to Debra for her vision for this much anticipated week for our clients and their children. I love how our staff goes outside the box in so many creative ways to equip our parents to be the best they can be.
Our interns have had many opportunities to grow this summer as they have done every job possible, and even led in devotions. They have seen ultrasounds, worked on the upcoming Golf Tournament, helped write grant proposals, prepped for Bible School, and the list goes on. We have been so blessed by this group of girls – all from different schools, and different churches. They quickly became a team, and have served with excellence.
We are counting down the days until our Mobile Unit is delivered. We can’t wait to see how this enhances the ministry of CPC. When I look back and remember how we started, and to see how the Lord has provided and grown it, I am so humbled! I don’t think that He is done either! With our property, and the new office that will be built, we believe that our best days are still to come! Thank you for your support, both prayerfully and financially. We know that we are definitely in this together!!
Our Tee it Up for Life Golf Tournament is almost here! Don’t let the date, Saturday, October 2nd, slip up on you! We have already had teams sign up. It will be held at Village Greens Golf Club.
