When should I get an ultrasound?

If you received a positive result from a Carolina Pregnancy Center pregnancy test, your next step would be to have an ultrasound. However, we only provide free ultrasounds on a limited basis to clients that qualify. If you already know you’re pregnant and are under a doctor’s care, then we can offer many other support services, but no further medical care.

How do I know if I am pregnant?

Taking a lab-quality pregnancy test at Carolina Pregnancy Center is the best way to determine if you are pregnant. We offer free and confidential pregnancy testing that is highly accurate.

How soon can I take a pregnancy test?

The hormones in your body that result in a positive pregnancy test can’t be detected immediately. You need to wait until you have missed your period by at least 5 days.  At that point, you can take a free and confidential pregnancy test.

Do I have to make an appointment?

We want to make sure we have a Client Advocate available to meet with you.  So, for this reason, we ask that you call and schedule an appointment. We want to be able to give you our full attention.

How long does an appointment last?

We try to schedule anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes for each appointment. We want time to get to know you, your unique situation, and your specific needs so we can determine how to best help you.

Can I bring a friend or my partner?

Yes, by all means. We know having someone by your side is very important at this time. To protect your confidentiality, you’ll need to bring your valid photo ID.  A driver’s license or student ID will work too.
