Dear Friends~
You just never know what you might encounter at CPC! People come with all kinds of needs and burdens. Sometimes, it is a little beyond our scope, but if they come, we will do our best to help in some way. We have had two examples of that this month. One particular day a mom came in need of clothes for her 3 children. She had been here before when her children were younger to get baby and toddler clothes. She did not realize that we only stock up to 4T and she needed larger sizes. We did not have anything for these children, but Debra found a solution. She immediately headed on over to see our next-door neighbors at PS I Love You. They had everything these children needed. They rolled out the red carpet and provided 5 outfits for each child!! I love seeing the Body of Christ work together! It was a sweet teaching moment when our client saw how the Lord would provide for every need she had!
On Monday, a homeless couple called in need of help. They had moved here from another state and had been living with a relative. That did not work out, so they were searching for help. We urged them to come in to talk so that we could get some more details. They came and shared their story. The girl is 38 weeks pregnant, the dad has found a job and completed orientation and is scheduled to start on Thursday night. They started Medicaid paperwork but were having trouble getting it completed. Long story short, because of the generosity of a few people and significant time spent with Becca and Eric, we were able to provide a hotel for them for a week, groceries that they could be prepared in their microwave and have a spiritual conversation with them. All this went on for a few days. When they left the second appointment, they left with hope. They left knowing that they were loved by us and Jesus. We are so excited about the future for them.
Thank you for helping meet the needs of all our clients, no matter what the need. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share the Gospel. You never know what the Lord will use to draw someone to Himself!
