If you think you might be pregnant, it’s essential to take a pregnancy test since other health conditions can mimic the symptoms of early pregnancy. If you get a positive result, an ultrasound is the next step. Ultrasound will confirm you’re pregnant and give you the information you need to know to stay safe.
If you’ve missed a period this month, now’s the time to test. However, if you aren’t sure when to expect your period but think you might be pregnant, estimating and testing are okay. If your test is negative but you still think you’re pregnant, try testing a week later to avoid receiving a false negative, which is when you’re pregnant, but your hormone levels aren’t high enough to be detected by the test.
