We need churches to fulfill our mission.
Carolina Pregnancy Center would not be able to minister to the number of clients we reach each year without the partnership of area churches.
There are many ways that your church can be involved and support the ministry. Here are a few ideas of ways your church can get involved. If you have any questions or want more information, please call our office today.
Ask us how your church can partner with us.
There are so many ways to help
Much of our financial support comes from churches committing to a monthly pledge amount. Some churches include us in their missions’ budget or as a line item for monthly giving. Your church may want to consider this form of ongoing partnership with Carolina Pregnancy Center.
Baby Shower for CPC
It is a huge blessing when a church, ladies group, school, or Sunday school class holds a baby shower in our honor. This is a fun way for your congregation to get involved and enjoy fellowship together at the same time. The most needed type of shower is a “Gift Card Shower”, but some other fun ideas are “Diaper and Wipes Shower” (we are always in need of bigger sizes like 3,4,5, & 6) or “Christmas Toy Drive” for toddler and preschool toys. Get creative!
Baby Bottle Boomerang
Carolina Pregnancy Center has been offering churches in the area the opportunity to partner with us through Baby Bottle Boomerang, for the past several years. Some churches participate in January along with Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, some churches used the bottles near Mother’s Day, still others wait for Father’s Day and some choose different times throughout the year.
The bottles are to be distributed one per family. A brief explanation about Baby Bottle Boomerang should be given to the congregation and they are to pick up their bottle at the conclusion of the service. Our staff is delighted to come speak to your congregation about the ministry and the bottles. Each family will take their bottle home for three weeks. We ask families to use the bottles as a reminder to pray for us, educate their children about the value of life, and even use it as a conversation starter at their job or with friends. At the end of three weeks, they return the bottles filled with checks, currency and coins. They are to complete the insert and fill it with change, cash, or a check made out to Carolina Pregnancy Center. They will return their bottles to the church three weeks from the date the bottles were distributed, even if they are empty. We would like to get all the bottles back so we can reuse them for the next Baby Bottle Boomerang.
You should not count the money because we will count each bottle and receipt the givers individually for their tax purposes as well as inform your church of the total your church gave. Please have someone from your church return the bottles to Carolina Pregnancy Center the week after they are collected, preferably on Monday.
It’s such a simple concept, but God uses it in a mighty way. We would love to include your church in our Baby Bottle Boomerang. Please contact Madison so we can coordinate your baby bottle event.
Sanctity of Human Life
January is Sanctity of Human Life month. This is a great opportunity for pastors to shine a light on many issues related to the ministry of CPC. Our staff is happy to come speak with your church or small group about the services we provide and volunteer opportunities for your congregation. We can also provide you with printed bulletin inserts for your church, or by digital download if you prefer.
Proudly Pro-Life Rally
We would love to have your church join us in the statewide rally held each January on the Statehouse steps in Columbia. This is a great way for your church to put action to their faith and stand for pro-life issues.
We would love to have your church join us for Life Chain held the first Sunday in October each year. This is a national event held in cities all over our country. In Spartanburg, we line John B. White Sr. Blvd. between I-26 and Christian Supply, from 2:30-3:30 that Sunday afternoon. This is another great way for your church to put action to their faith and stand for pro-life issues.
Encourage your congregation to volunteer at CPC. This can be done as a group for a one-time event, or individuals can get plugged in with ongoing volunteer opportunities. For more information on volunteering, please visit our Volunteer page.
Thank you for your support! Please call us with any questions.
